Every firm on Bay Street talks a big talk about how much they value diversity. Now, I can't speak to whether or not they follow through, but I can speak to my experiences here at Goodmans, where I feel and live the importance our firm places on diversity every day.
Just recently the firm hosted an Eid-Al-Fitr celebration, marking the end of Ramadan. The celebration included educational pieces, speeches from people of different backgrounds, and foods from around the world, all of which amounted to a hugely inclusive and diverse recognition of the holiest holiday in Islam.
I was one of the many speakers, and the amount of people I got to connect with afterwards, who were so keen on learning more, really warmed my heart.
Goodmans is a special place.
